Description

CBS Register: Seal, shape of half a ball, limonite

PBS XIV: A three headed dragon, with the body and legs of a lion, the wings and tail of an eagle, the head of a lion with bull’s horns, a second bearded human head, a third head of an eagle. There seems to be an Aramaic inscription over a Pehlvi letter.

Cone seal. Limonite or flint, 17 ½ x 12 mm. Bagdad, 1890.
