Description | Huipil in one panel with white cotton ground and red selvedges. Short. Brocaded flowers, animals and geometric designs in multiple colors. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 50 epi, single, Z twist, white cotton. Warp red border: 40 epi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 15 ppi, single, Z twist, white cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. One panel, three selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
