Flat red bottle with tapering neck and both sides ornamented with impressed designs - Maltese cross and lace-like banding. One loop handle shoulder to shoulder

Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a lentoid body, tapered neck, rounded rim, 1 strap handle extending from the neck to the body, and a flat base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel has a raised geometric pattern on each side of the body. On one side of the body there are horizontal bands of geometric designs including crescent shapes and possibly an animal form with raised dots in between. The opposite side has a cross with alternating bands of dots and smoothed ceramic surface. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Fireclouding is present on the body. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "2785."
