Description | Tomb 2A = Herscher Tomb 802A. Red polished III double-necked jug. Fragmentary. Fine soft light red-brown clay with very light gray interior in places. Thick lustrous red slip. Round base, body not restored; two cylindrical necks with round spout, everted rim; Y-shaped vertical handle, rectangular in section, from mid-necks to upper body, with vertical projection on top. Incised decoration (preserved): groups of parallel lines, multiple zigzags, hatched bands; on neck, groups of short horizontal lines; on handle, group of four horizontal lines on projection, herringbone below.
