Description | Buccheroid impasto bowl with loop handle. Convex body with inturned rim. Single loop handle rising vertically from one side. Two symmetrical protuberances on rim. Rim exterior is decorated with a row of downward-pointing triangles. The handle is plain on the exterior, but has grooved lines on the interior. The base is broken, but appears to have had seven small rectangular feet. Thick fabric, dull surface. Wheelmarks visible on underside of rim, signs of burnishing on exterior. Much of the base is missing, as is a piece of the rim. Several cracks in the body. Repairs done in light plaster. Note: it has a blue and white sticker with wavy lines, with the number “35” written on it. |
