Description | Wood. Like 29-59-32. Back of hand is also carved to represent face. Frame not decorated but supported on spirally carved wooden stick. "A special image. The only one seen on my entire trip and evidently used by the local medicine man on his hunts as a kind of fetish carrying stick, althought he would tell me nothing about its use but was quite desirous of exchanging it for a piece of cloth. It comes from a hunter at Kandudi and had been carefully preserved by him in his youth." |
