Description

Clay deep jar-shaped pot (深鉢) with small flat base. Widens gradually at center. Narrows slightly at neck and flares to wide rim. Sides with twisted cord impressions which vary in length and depth and short incised straight lines. Smoothed over near bottom. Imperfections especially at rim. Jomon style. Dark with a few lighter mottled orange-ish areas.
