Description | Dancing mask. Wood; colored reddish brown; narrow slits for eyes and mouth; sharp pointed teeth; prominent chin. To top of mask is attached a cap of skin and burlap over a framework of twigs, ornamented with red paper. From the cap depends a black and white knitted tube which presumably extended down over the wearer's neck, the upper front part of the tube being attached to the chin of the mask. |
