Description | Clay was once glazed. Hollow. Figure is holding chin with its left hand, which has five fingers. Left foot has five toes. Right side fingers and toes each number four. Right arm is shorter than left and figure is hunch-backed on right side. Head is large, with all features well-defined (ears, eyes, and eyelids, nose and nose-ring, lips and teeth, chin and forehead). Features of face were added as extra pieces of clay, not carved from the unfeatured original shape. Clay is coarse in texture and rough-surfaced. |
