Description | Almost all of neck and all of handle missing. Shape may have been on the order of Coldstream, pl. 17, g. What remains resembles a doorknob: flat bottom, broad, lenticular body, the upper part sloping more steeply than the lower. No articularion between body and neck. Lower handle attachment remains. Only lower part of body is fully glazed. Underside of body unglazed. On upper body and lowe neck are wheel-painted lines and bands. Fairly soft buff clay. Streaky and worn black glaze. |
