Sommerville: Chalcedony-Onyx. Medusa, in profile. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case RR.

Vermeule: Chalcedony-Onyx. Cameo. (Unmounted, chipped on all edges) Head of Medusa facing to right. Her features are of the youthful ideal type with only two snakes in her hair and one wing showing in profile. Graeco-Roman, probably of the Ist. A.D., in the Augustan classizing style.
