Description

Black sarong (tembe me'e). Basic black tembe with characteristic blue stripes and borders. Machined cotton dyed with local indigo. Border stripes made with nggoli, a predyed synthetic thread available in Sila, the nearest lowland market. Machine sewn. Made in June 1983, Keto Rasa hamlet. Border stripes bright blue. Narrow stripes barely visible. Two small holes or tears.
