Description | "In the form of a sea animal". Hollow of bowl oval. All of top and interior of dish painted red. Red and black painting on sides conventionalized. Details of animal's head are carved; black paint on lips around lateral nostrils, and irises. Area about eye painted green. Long, red, protruding tongue divided and front part nailed in place. Back end flat and black. Slot on top of head. |
