Description | Flask shaped red bottle with a circle of raised ornamentation on one flattened face. Two small vertical loop handles at base of neck Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a lentoid body, flaring neck, rounded rim, 2 lug handles extending from the neck to the body, and a rounded base. There is a band of geometric and curvilinear decoration around the body in low relief. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Fireclouding is present on the body. resinous accretion on the exterior of the body. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "2783." |
