Description | Flat wooden rim (frame) nailed together where ends overlap and cut every inch or so on inside surface to facilitate bending. Skin covering of top surface nails to bottom edge of rim. badly torn. Mended with leather or rawhide strips and wax(?) along several tears on under edge to make a handgrip. Cotton cord wrapped around place where they cross. Traces of hair on skin in a few places. |
