Description | Cylindrical basket with slightly expanding sides and an inverted bottom. Decorated with upper and lower bands of false embroidery in "butterfly" patterns in white and black. A thin, brown line frames each butterfly pattern. Technical notes: twined, close twined, two-strand, in-between weave (with plain), three-strand, wrapped weft ("false embroidery"). 16 warps, 21 rows per square inch. Bottom in between. |
