Description | Spherical body, flaring bottle neck, two vertical loop handles on shoulder, one handle missing Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a globular body, flaring neck, flattened rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a flat base. No molded/modeled additions. textile impressions on the bottom. The vessel is painted with geometric designs on the shoulder and neck including stripes, stepped zigzags, and circles with dots. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange and gray in color. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "3236." |
