Description | Profile: body hemispherical, flattened out below; wheelmade lip straight in profile increasing in diameter from bottom to top. molded decoration dimly impressed. In medallion, a circle of 2 raised lines, is, probably, a rosette. The wall is divided into quarters by 4 tall, veined leaves. In each quarter is a very dimly impressed figure or group, the same in each. Eros(?) or an animal (?). No rim zone. Body set off from lip by a strong groove. Intact. Buff clay; red glaze on all surfaces. |
