Description | Light colored bottle mouthed; two vertical handled jar in shape of a fruit Narrow-necked jar/bottle with an effigy-fruit shaped body, cylindrical neck, rounded rim, 2 strap handles extending from the neck to the body, and a flat base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel is shaped like a fruit or other plant part. The vessel is shaped like a fruit or other plant part with numerous raised semi-circular lobes on the bottom section of the body. The vessel is painted white with red dashes on the raised semi-circles and red lines around the neck and on the handles. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "3108." |
