Sommerville: Carnelian. Scipio Aemelianus, Roman consul B.C. 114. Intaglios and Their Imprints, Case AAA.

Vermeule: Carnelian. Intaglio. (Unmounted) Laureate, draped bust of a man, resembling George III facing to right. Sommerville identifies him as "Scipio Aemeleanies, Roman Consil B.C. 114." Neo-Classic, probably 18th and imitating an ancient gem worked with the wheel.
