Votive hand towel (Hônô tenugui). Light blue background. White letters. Three petaled flower. Japanese characters say Gifu shi (address); Tamanoya (name). Label reads: "Chion-in temple. The principal monastery of the Jodo sect of Buddhists on a hill in Kyoto."
