Description | Monk Upagupta (Sanskrit), or Shin Upagok (Burmese), sits in vajrasana holding alms bowl with both hands on lap. On two-tiered open-work throne with pointed projections at each corner. Head tilted back in order to check the sun for time before eating last meal of the day. Robe worn in open style with right shoulder bare. Black core in body of image. |
