Levy: "This bowl was prepared to protect Pabak bar Kufithai and his household. The demonic forces are to be controlled by the powers of Enoch, the seven planets, and the twelve signs of the zodiac. The sketch seems to depict a sorcerer waving a branch in an attempt to ward off demons."
