Description | Woodblock print in black ink on light paper. Center image is bell with dragon head on top. Kanji and Hirigana characters at top and to either side of bell and within single line border. Top says Miidera Temple Holy Bell, sides say projection of the head 34.84 cm, Height 166.65 cm, caliber 124.23 cm, and thickness 10.60 cm. 29-96-710a-b are identical. This is a holy bell from Miidera Temple which was made during the Nara period(710-794). Same bell as pictured in 29-96-684. |
