Description | Flat in back. Four animals carved on front. Animal at top apparently coming down over top of pole with head and arms reaching to face below. This face grotesque-cheek lines appear to be arms, and jaw line, legs. Below this-a long-beaked bird. Animal head at bottom appears to have long ears (or perhaps fins). Most of painting in black, some red. One eye painted on post below mouth of bottom face. Eyes of lower 3 figures are like round balls. |
