Description | Rectangular; flexible. Bottom plaited with broad strips of equal width. Sides have un-equal strips, the broader ones are horizontal. Decoration by use of 4 broad rust strips, between which are two rows of light and dark splints in checkerboard weave; narrow light strips cross broad ones and in two places on each side (evenly spaced) the light strips have been dyed dark thus forming vertical bands. These dark strips continue across bottom. SIngle row of twining at top under rim which is wrapped with light colored grass (?); also single row of twining around bottom. Out of shape. |
