Description

Realistically molded male face. Made of thin piece of rawhide which was stretched over a wooden form. Hair scraped short but visible on inner surface. Eyebrow & moustache of muskrat fur sewed on with sinew. Brown head hair probably bear; white dog or wolf fur ruff around entire face.

Form for this mask is in the Peabody Museum, Yale University; other masks made on same form are also there, owned by Dr. Leopold Pospi Yale Uni., and Dr. Jack Campbell, George Washington Univ.
