Description | Intact save for a few chips (foot, shoulder). Foot truncated conical. Body profile: sharp articulation a little above foot; gentle concave curve above swelling to wide, sharply articulated shoulder. Broad shoulder with jog in profile at level of lower attachment of handle. Neck has spreading profile. Mushroom lip. Thickened strap handle attaching above to a ring encircling neck. Solid black glaze: on lip, handle, ring, and foot. Glaze lines (wheel-run) 3 on shoulder, 8 on body, 2 on neck above ring. |
