Description | Black slip jug; Incomplete; much of rim missing; rotted; some slip still adhering exposed fabric soft and powdery. High ring base; ovoid body with greatest diameter at low shoulder; tall, narrow, slightly concave neck; pinched rim; vertical handle from rim to shoulder. Incised horizontal lines encircling shoulder; thin carelessly executed vertical flutes on body. |
