Description | Tomb 2A = Herscher Tomb 802A. Red polished III coarse cooking pot. Incomplete. Bright orange clay with thick dark gray interior, large inclusions. Thin matt light red slip. Irregularly shaped; small flat base (D.: 2.5 cm), ovoid body, inverted conical neck, plain rim; two opposed vertical handles, one preserved, from rim to upper body. Incised decoration: horitzontal line at neckline and about 1 cm below rim. Cf. 809D.25. |
