Large battle ships in background smoking and on fire with Japanese soliders in row boat in foreground. Japanese inscription in upper left corner and lower left corner. Woodblock print of battle from Sino-Japanese War of 1894-5. Two of three sheets from a triptych with the two sheets of paper glued together. The right most sheet is missing. The artist is Kobayashi Ikuhide (小林 幾英). |
