Description | Wide mouth, slightly expanding neck. small. slightly painted. Lower half six-sided. Wide mouthed vessel with a six-sided body, flaring collar, rounded rim, no handles, and a flat base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel is painted with geometric decoration in red and white. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Evidence of usewear includes soot on the exterior and black staining on the interior. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "269." |
