Description | Rim and shoulder fragment of a jug. The shoulder slopes to a short neck with outcurving rim. Brown painted decoration in short bands across the rim; on the neck are several horizontal bands encircling the vessel; below these is a panel containing vertical bands and another panel with lattice decoration; around the lower part of the shoulder between two horizontal bands is a way line. Black ware, burning brown; buff slip on both surfaces. |
