Description | Sommerville: Antique Paste Intaglio. A slave imploring his life of a warrior. Antique Pastes, Case SSS. Vermeule: Glass paste, imitating Sard. Intaglio. (Unmounted) A supplicant kneeling to right, before an armed warrior. The subject is perhaps Priam before Achilles. Roman Republican, the style similar to that on consular denarii. |
