| Description | Red ware. Body constricted one third distance from flat base; two vertical loop handles on upper body; slightly flaring neck. Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a double lobed body, cylindrical neck, rounded rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a flat base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel is painted but the design is now faded. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Fireclouding is present on the base. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1629." |
