Sommerville: Pale onyx. Incognito. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case N.

Vermeule: Pale Onyx. Cameo. (Unmounted). Head of a woman of Grecian type facing to right, hair done up in a sphendrone. Perhaps a portrait of a lady of the earlier 19th, represented in the style of goddesses on South Italian and Sicilian Greek coins of the 4th B.C.
