Description

Silk on paper scroll. Kakemono, Death of Buddha. He is shown as prostrate gilded figure surrounded by minor gods, saints and other personages. Birds and beasts below. Scene in heaven "Nirvana" above with figures in clouds. Painting appears to be mainly in original state, over painting not noticable. Metal ornaments on hanging. Right side of roller missing. Some tears - mending.
