Description | Jug with one vertical handle. A strip of clay extends form the handle along the mouth on each side of the vase. Coarse, red (2.5 YR 5/6) clay, fired darker in some areas, with light and dark inclusions. Handmade. Undecorated. Mouth repaired, otherwise intact. The attachment of the handle, with strips that continue along the sides of the mouth, may indicate a metal prototype (for a similar arrangement from Knossos see Evans 1921-35: II, fig. 221b).
