Description

Tomb 3A = Herscher Tomb 803A. Black polished bowl. Fragmentary. Gray clay. No slip preserved. Round base, hemispherical body, slightly incurving rim; convex vertical lug at rim. Incised decoration: below rim, horizontal band of joined hatched lozenges; on body, four concentric lozenges divided by vertical lines; between each pair of lozenges, a hatched semicircle pendent from rim band, with two vertical hatched bands pendent below; lozenge below lug framed by parallel hatched bands; group of horizontal lines encircling base.
