Description | Intact. Narrow ring foot; flattened lenticular body; wide mouth; horizontal strap handle, ends turned up and out. Black glaze on interior floor. Interior wall reserved. Solid glaze on mouth. Sucession of narrow band, broad band, narrow band, and then very broad band on rim. Broad red band between two narrow bands on rim. Outside of handle glazed, but handle zone reserved. Rest of exterior of body solidly glazed with the glaze continuing over all of foot, aside from narrow reserved band on resting surface of foot. Glaze continues onto outer edge of undersurface of vase. Rest of undersurface reserved except for glazed circle at center. Shallow, with inturned rim. |
