Description

Silk shawl (?) with long fringes on ends. Central panel patterned by weft ikat in deep purple-red with natural, grey blue and dark purple. Motif is the wings and tail of the mythical bird Garuda (?). End panels deep red, with broad bands of tree and flower designs in gold supplementary weft. At each end five gold threads and another narrow band of gold designs. Fringes 30 cm. long.
