Description

Bowl with high loop handle. Pale buff fabric, thoroughly levigated and very fragile. Decoration in applied red. Alternate red and reserved bands encircle the bowl from lip to neck whence a metope system of checkerboard diamonds alternating with panels of 6 vertical lines. Below this, alternate red and reserved bands with a broad red band at the bottom. Suggestive of Proto-Corinthian ware.
