Description | Bowl with high loop handle. Pale buff fabric, thoroughly levigated and very fragile. Decoration in applied red. Alternate red and reserved bands encircle the bowl from lip to neck whence a metope system of checkerboard diamonds alternating with panels of 6 vertical lines. Below this, alternate red and reserved bands with a broad red band at the bottom. Suggestive of Proto-Corinthian ware. |
