Description | Small; incomplete. Animal head (missing) and tail. Similar to vessel 26873 Wide mouthed vessel with a squat body, no neck/collar, rounded rim, no handles, and a tripod base. No decoration. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior and a smoothed finish on the interior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing and reducing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange and gray in color. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink on the bottom of the base. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "2649." |
