Description

Both the tunic (a) and blanket (b) are of natural wool (?) woven in a wide hand-over-hand pattern. The tunic is straight-sided, short-sleeved and square-necked. The edges of the neck, one sleeve and the base of the tunic are raw and are, as a result, beginning to unravel. Part of the neckline has been repaired with bright orange thread. The lefthand sleeve has a finished edge. Each sleeve has a painted-on stripe of orange and light blue. The body of the tunic is stained with paint from the blanket. The blanket is rectangular, and its long edges are raw. One side has painted rows of long triangles along the long edges in the same orange and light blue as on the tunic.
