Description

Sitting mat. Two equal sized square mats joined in the middle to form one double mat. Bottom mat consists of broad undyed palm leaf strips in a plain weave.The top mat consists of narrower strips, natural colored and red dyed, in a more complex weave, forming a large patterned X from corner to corner and red triangles on the four sides. In a central, uncolored plain weave square there is openwork through which remnants of red and dark blue cloth can be seen.
