Description | Semi-lunar shaped container with lid; main carving on box is of a series of triangles made up of three rows of continous parallel lines; three raised, vertically incised antelope horns(Bambi) are carved on center of lid, each horn has four grooves near center; directly above on rim there is a hole; a second hole is below on back side of box; a piece of twisted fiber is tied an knotted through the two holes;; interior has a red hue from the pigment it once held; exterior of box is dark brown in color; bottom of box has a smooth surface, with a groove outlining the shape of the box. |
