Vermeule: Sard. Cameo. (Modern gilt pin setting) Three busts facing right. Appear to be copied from Hellenistic and Roman coins. 1. Perhaps Alexander the Great. 2. Perhaps Commodus. 3. Perhaps Antiochus of Syria. Famous artists as well as cameo cutters copied such heads from coins c.g. sketch by Ruheus in Morgan Library, NY.
