Description | "a" fits over the saddle; "b" and "c" hang on either side. The centre of "a" is black velvet and around this is a red flannel band, then a black flannel band. The centre of "b" and "c" is red velvet, with a black flannel, then a red flannel band. The centre sections and a narrow band near the edge are completely covered with lead [?] discs of various sizes arranged in an intricate pattern which is outlined with colourless glass beads. All are lined with coarse white cotton. From "a" are eight pendent flaps of leather, fringed most of their length and ornamented at the top with rows of the lead discs. #30/189 a-c |
