Description | Point. Flaked stone tool made of black obsidian. Triangular with small tanged end. Thin. Translucency is mottled and only at edges. Tip of point is broken. 29-183-50 is one of many stemmed points in the collection. Stemmed points or arrowheads appear in sites from the Late Paleolithic to Yayoi Period. Without context arrowheads such as these can only be assigned a broad date range. |
