Description | Minature kotyle. Flat bottom, with string marks. Bowl broad above, very constricted below, slightly convex in profile. Horizontal loop handles set at top of bowl. Light buff ground with decoration in somewhat fugitive black glaze. Wheel painted band around outer edge of bottom, and another around profile of base. Broad band of glaze around lower wall, a narrow band just below handle level. In handle zone, vertical closely spaced strokes. Interior once fully glazed. Intact. |
